Yesterday, the US Patent & Trademark Office approved and published Microsoft's latest registered trademark for "SkyDrive" which was originally filed for back in June 2012. SkyDrive is a file hosting service that allows users to upload and sync files to cloud storage and then access them from a Web browser or their local device. Publicly shared files do not require a Microsoft account to access. The free SkyDrive app is available to both Windows and Mac users.
Microsoft's "SkyDrive" is now a Registered Trademark
Microsoft originally filed their trademark under the sole International Classification 001 which they specifically clarified as covering the following: computer software for receiving, displaying, storing, organizing and sharing with other users documents, sounds, music, videos, photographs, drawings, images and data stored electronically.
To review Microsoft's cloud service, see SkyDrive.
