This week the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office published two new and interesting trademarks from Samsung this week as the company prepares for their Barcelona trade show in early March. Will either of these new trademarks end up in their keynote? Only time will tell.
Trademark #1: Next is Now
Samsung filed their trademark under International Class 009 which for this trademark specifically covers the following:
"Mobile phone; tablet computers; Phablet, namely, a portable and handheld digital electronic devices for recording, organizing, transmitting, manipulating, and reviewing text, data, image, and audio files; accessories for smart phones, phablets and wearable digital electronic devices, namely, protective covers, batteries, rechargeable batteries, battery chargers, chargers for electric batteries, headphones, stereo headphones, in-ear headphones, personal stereo speaker apparatus, microphones, car audio adapters, headsets, remote controls, connection cables, power adapters, docking stations, and adapter plugs, stylus; wearable digital electronic devices in the form of a wristwatch, wrist band, necklace, ring, bracelet and bangle for providing access to the Internet and for sending and receiving phone calls, electronic mails and messages; wearable electronic handheld devices in the form of a wristwatch, wrist band, necklace, ring, bracelet and bangle for the wireless receipt, storage and transmission of data and messages and for keeping track of and managing personal information; mobile phone and tablet computer accessories, namely, batteries, electric battery chargers, data communication cables, headsets, ear phones, battery chargers for use in a car, leather cases adapted for mobile phones and tablet computers, protective flip covers for mobile phones and tablet computers, hands frees kits and snap on cases adapted for mobile phones and tablet computers, stylus, audio docking stations, screen protective films adapted for mobile phones and tablet computers and portable speakers; head-mounted video displays."
Trademark #2: Briefing on TV
Samsung filed their trademark under International Class 009 which for this trademark specifically covers the following:
"Mobile telephones; digital cameras; portable media players; portable computers; wireless headsets for mobile phones, smart phones and tablet computers; rechargeable batteries; battery chargers; leather cases for mobile phones, smart phones and tablet computers; flip covers for mobile phones, smart phones and tablet computers; tablet computers; television receivers; audio electronic components, namely surround sound systems; digital set-top boxes; DVD players; Light emitting diode displays; monitors, namely, television monitors, liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors, computer monitors; 3D eye glasses; computers; printers for computers; semiconductors; computer software, namely computer software for making a TV automatically turn on at the setting time by users, and then, displaying the main information (time, weather, schedule, etc.) of the mobile devices on TVs."
Just in case you missed it, Samsung also filed a string of new trademarks in January that are worth noting. One or more of these new trademarks bound to emerge in Barcelona in March.
