The Samsung Gear Fit is a fitness wristband made by Samsung Electronics, and forms part of their Samsung Gear family of smartwatch devices. It features a curved AMOLED display. Its design was developed to appeal to people interested in fitness and style. This Month the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Samsung a series of design patents covering the Gear Fit. In addition, Samsung was granted a design for a new Galaxy smartphone case that may come with a fashionable chained handle.
Unlike "patent applications," design patents published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office don't reveal pertinent information about a particular design. We can look at the design and appreciate it for what it projects, but we'll never discover which materials may be used to construct the design. We'll never know what unique internal components may be hidden within the device or learn about any unique features that we could look forward to. All we get is the simple visual of what could be coming down the pipeline.

Samsung Granted a Design Patent for a Galaxy Smartphone Case
Samsung was awarded a great number of design patents covering everything from a series of washing machines to dishwashers to toner cartridges. Other designs that some might find interesting include a secondary Smartphone Case, a camera lens and a keyboard that could accommodate a Galaxy Tablet to form a kind of 2-in-1 device.
