Samsung Devices with Scrollable and Rollable Displays
According to the first scrollable device patent that we're covering today, Samsung notes that an aspect of the present invention is to provide an electronic device having a flexible display, in which the size of a housing containing the flexible display is reduced in association with the withdrawal of the flexible display from the housing. When the flexible display is withdrawn through the opening and extended outside of the housing, the roll may move for a distance, which may be predetermined, on the basis of a size of an empty space in the housing, which is created as the flexible display is withdrawn.
The application for a scrollable device may be a smartphone, a television, a gaming machine. a home automation control panel or for many medical devices.
Samsung's Second Scrollable Display Patent
In a second patent, Samsung notes that an aspect of their invention relates to a flexible display device which is capable of preventing or substantially preventing a flexible display module from being bent according to an operation mode. According to another aspect of embodiments of the present disclosure, a display device includes a rollable and bendable flexible display module.
Samsung's Third Scrollable Display Patent
Samsung's third scrollable display device was granted to them on January 31, 2017 under number 9,560,750. The patent was filed for back in April 2015. You could review more details of this third patent here.
