Yesterday the US Patent and Trademark Office granted Samsung a design patent for a new notebook-tablet hybrid configuration. Unlike the Samsung's previous designs that has the display snap into the keyboard in a vertical manner such as seen here or here, their new design is one that has the tablet/display slide into the keyboard as noted in our cover graphic.
Whether Samsung's new design is for Windows or Android is unknown at time. Samsung's design patent title is simply "Notebook Computer." Patently Mobile was first to discover the design which can be found under US design patent number D706,259.
